Let me introduce to you, Martial Arts Center for Students with Special Needs (Kia Kidz). Kia Kidz has empowered special needs students in Miami for over the past six years through the art of American Ju Jitsu Self-Defense. At Kia Kidz, children and adults of all exceptionalities work alongside normally developing students which include siblings, parents and friends. The “Inclusion Concept” of teaching martial arts offers the special need students the greatest chance for success. Through inclusion, our students are allowed to learn at their own pace, while excelling and following other normally developing students. Kia Kidz is also unique because it takes a “family approach” encouraging parents and siblings to take classes together. Through teamwork and inclusion, Kia Kidz students develop the physical and social skills which allow them to better adapt and succeed at their schools and in the community, as well as acquire the confidence and courage to face and overcome challenges in their everyday life. Through martial arts, Kia Kidz is making a difference in our Special Needs Community.

However, Kia Kidz is aware that there is a great need for continued progress in our Special Needs Community, and believes that through education and community awareness, greater respect and acceptance of all disabilities will someday be the norm.

To that end, Kia Kidz Martial Arts Center will be hosting the first ever Inclusion Superstars Championship Expo on April 27, 2014. At the event, our students will perform alongside other martial arts schools, who will be “Fighting for a Cause,” during Autism Awareness Month.

We are currently seeking sponsors for this event, and have prepared a variety of sponsorship levels which not only allow you to show your support for the cause, but also afford valuable exposure for our sponsors. The event will be held at the Dave and Mary Alper Jewish Community Center and attended by over 800 participants from around South Florida. Various sponsorship levels are available including opportunities for high-profile recognition before, during and after the event -- online, in person and over social media. All sponsorship levels include tickets to the event.

Please join other caring members of our community in supporting this event. We are reaching out to potential sponsors by November 30, 2013 to ensure inclusion in all printed material and maximum exposure. If you have any questions or need additional information, please visit www.kiakidz.com and www.fightingforacause.com or contact Sensei Lana Smirnova-Miranda at 305-794-8529 or e-mail her at: kiakidz@yahoo.com. We thank you in advance for your support in making this inaugural event a success for all Kia Kidz students, families and supporters.
